The problem

Two structural failures.
One solution.

The global energy transition needs trillions. The capital exists. The projects exist. The regulated infrastructure to connect them efficiently — does not. Until now.

01

Projects stall before financial close

Viable renewable energy projects across the UK, EU and EMEA fail to reach financial close because deal structuring is slow, compliance is fragmented across jurisdictions, and retail capital cannot efficiently find them. Projects die on the runway — not from lack of merit, but lack of infrastructure.

Project Finance Gap
02

Diaspora capital has nowhere productive to go

UK diaspora communities remit over £20 billion annually — almost entirely for consumption. Millions of people with deep personal connections to energy-poor regions have no regulated, accessible route to invest in the projects that matter to them. That capital is lost to the transition.

Diaspora Capital Gap
How it works

From registration to
financial close.

VERSPA connects every participant in the renewable energy finance chain through a single regulated platform with three clear entry points.

STEP 01

Register & verify

Create your account as an investor, project developer or institutional partner. Our streamlined KYC/AML onboarding verifies identity and source of funds in hours, not days — fully FCA-compliant from the first interaction.

STEP 02

Discover & match

VERSPA Intelligence automatically matches investors to projects by geography, return profile and impact preference. Developers are scored across innovation, viability and market readiness. Every match is explainable, transparent and auditable.

STEP 03

Invest & close

Investors commit capital through regulated documentation workflows. Developers receive funds at financial close. Returns are distributed automatically. CO₂ impact is tracked in real-time. Every transaction is recorded with a full compliance audit trail.

The platform

Six pillars.
One ecosystem.

VERSPA is not a crowdfunding platform. It is infrastructure — the rails on which capital, projects, advisors and institutions connect efficiently across borders. No platform globally combines all six of these capabilities.

01

Capital Marketplace

A two-sided regulated investment marketplace connecting retail investors from £10, diaspora communities and institutional funding partners with renewable energy project owners and IPPs. Supports debt, equity and hybrid instruments with a secondary market for liquidity.

Pillar 1
02

Deal Infrastructure

End-to-end deal structuring for cross-border energy transactions — term sheet templates, FCA-compliant documentation workflows, SPV setup guidance and automated KYC/AML onboarding. The SeedLegals layer built specifically for renewable energy finance.

Pillar 2
03

Grant & Compliance Advisory

Navigating Innovate UK, UKRI, EU Green Deal, AfDB, IFC and BII grants. Regulatory certifications across jurisdictions. The VERSPA Launchpad — a structured 12-week investment readiness programme. Advisory revenue from day one, before FCA authorisation is required.

Pillar 3
04

VERSPA Intelligence

AI-powered project scoring, automated investor-deal matching, Commercial Feasibility Report generation, compliance gap analysis across jurisdictions, and a continuous grant radar scanning every open funding call for every project in the pipeline.

Pillar 4
05

VERSPA Vault

Tokenised fractional ownership enabling a regulated peer-to-peer secondary market. Directly solves the illiquidity problem of long-duration energy investments. Built on the W3-Energy.org MVP architecture, repurposed with full regulatory clarity through the FCA sandbox pathway.

Pillar 5
06

VERSPA Network (B2B API)

White-label infrastructure licensing VERSPA's deal rails, compliance engine and investor portal to banks, DFIs and energy companies across EMEA. The Stripe of renewable energy finance — the rails every institution builds on. Monthly SaaS licence plus per-transaction model.

Why London

The only city from which
this can be built.

01
Global financial gateway
London is the world's leading international financial centre. FCA regulation gives VERSPA global credibility and a passport to operate across jurisdictions. No other city combines the legal infrastructure, talent pool and investor access required.
02
World's largest offshore wind market
The UK has more installed offshore wind capacity than any other country, with hundreds of billions in new projects through 2050. Immediate, credible deal flow from day one of platform launch.
03
Diaspora finance hub
African, South Asian, Caribbean and MENA diaspora communities — among the world's most financially active — collectively remitting and investing billions annually. VERSPA redirects this into clean energy.
04
UK–EU–EMEA bridge
Post-Brexit structural gap in cross-border energy investment infrastructure. VERSPA fills it — London as the neutral clearing house for capital flows across all three regions simultaneously.
05
Net-zero alignment
VERSPA directly supports the UK's legally binding net-zero 2050 target. Aligned with HM Government priorities on green finance, development finance and the UK-Africa economic partnership agenda.
06
Regulatory excellence
FCA authorisation is the most globally respected regulatory seal in alternative finance. Essential for institutional trust, cross-border expansion and the long-term credibility of the platform.

Is VERSPA regulated by the FCA?
VERSPA is in the process of seeking FCA authorisation as a crowdfunding platform operator under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Prior to full authorisation, VERSPA operates as an advisory and deal structuring business only — which does not require FCA authorisation. Once authorised, the full investment marketplace will go live. We are working with specialist FCA compliance consultants on this pathway and expect to complete the process within 12–18 months of incorporation.
What is the minimum investment amount?
VERSPA is designed to democratise access to renewable energy investment. The minimum investment is £10, allowing individual retail investors to participate in the same projects that institutional investors access. There is no maximum. Larger investors — including institutions, DFIs and family offices — can access structured instruments including mezzanine debt and equity through our institutional channel.
What returns can investors expect?
Returns vary by project type, structure and geography. Based on comparable platforms — including Enerfip, which has delivered an average net IRR of approximately 6.3% — we target returns in the range of 5–9% annually depending on the instrument. Debt instruments typically offer fixed returns; equity instruments offer variable returns with higher upside. All investments carry risk, including the risk of capital loss. Past performance of comparable platforms is not indicative of future results on VERSPA.
How does diaspora investing work?
VERSPA's diaspora capital rails allow UK-based diaspora investors to invest in renewable energy projects in their home countries — converting what would typically be a remittance for consumption into a productive, regulated investment. You select a country-specific instrument (such as the Nigeria Green Bond or Ghana Solar Bond), commit capital through our platform, receive returns denominated in GBP, and track the live impact of your project through your dashboard. Community investment clubs allow groups of diaspora investors to pool capital and invest collectively in larger projects.
I'm a project developer — how does VERSPA help me?
VERSPA serves renewable energy project developers in two ways. First, through our advisory services — live now, requiring no FCA authorisation — we help developers apply for grants (Innovate UK, UKRI, EU Green Deal, AfDB, IFC), prepare commercial feasibility reports, structure deals and navigate regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. The VERSPA Launchpad is a structured 12-week programme that takes a raw project from concept to investment-ready. Once the marketplace is live post-FCA authorisation, your project can be listed and funded through our platform.
Which countries does VERSPA operate in?
VERSPA is headquartered in London and regulated in the United Kingdom. Our phased expansion plan takes us to West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal) in Year 2, the European Union via ECSP passport in Year 2, MENA (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt) in Year 3, East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda) in Year 3, and South and Southeast Asia from Year 4. Advisory services can be provided globally from day one.
When will the platform launch?
Advisory and deal structuring services are live now. The full investment marketplace launches following FCA authorisation, which we are targeting within 12–18 months of incorporation. VERSPA Intelligence is in beta and will be available to early waitlist members in Q2 2026. VERSPA Vault is planned for 2027, subject to FCA sandbox approval. The B2B API Network is planned for Year 3. Join the waitlist to receive updates and early access as each phase launches.
